April Favourites

Hello Beauties,
I cannot believe that I am actually posting my favourites on time, and  not a couple of weeks later YAY for being a good blogger :)

Soap And Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel - it seems everyone and there mother has used and loved this and i am no exception. I have had it for a while but just never seemed to use it as i was trying to use up my lush soaps and I think I have found my favourite shower gel EVER ,it has the most gorgeous scent which is the soap and Glory's signature scent (  ) a little lathers up alot so even though it is more than your typical shower gel it is so worth it as it last ages. I kept hearing everyone say how it leaves your skin feeling super soft and I was such a cynic if your in a hot shower your skin is going to dry out no matter what and you always need to moisturiser after (even though I don't oops) but I was surprised when i got out and my skin felt soft and didn't feel like I NEEDED to use a moisturizer. I still do though and I love to follow up with soap and glory righteous butter. (I don't have the bottle with me to take a photo of as  my sister has nicked it from me but I am sure you all know what it looks like)

Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser - I have been using this on and off for a few months but started using it everyday this past month and I totally feel in love with it. I have a first impressions post which you can see here but to be honest I didn't think I would get on with it, I thought it was going to be to thick and heavy but I was wrong, it does the job at cleansing my skin and as long as I use a toner there is no reminisce of the cream left on my skin and for only £5.99 you really cannot grumble.

Superdrug Vitamin E Night Cream - This is such a lovely night cream, it is highly fragranced so if you don't like that then this will not be for you but I like the smell and it does not linger on your skin, it is a rich moisturizer and sinks in to my skin like a dream leaving it soft and for 2.99 it is such amazing value for money.

Nivea Lip Balm - This is one of them staple and classic products that have been used for generations. I have had really dry and disgustingly flaky lips this month and for some reason I could not find any of my lip balms even though I have loads, (I am sure there is a fairy that comes along and takes my lip balms and delivers them back to me a year later once they are completely disgusting and out of date, she must keep them with the hair grips she takes from me), anyway I just ran in to Superdrug and picked this up and totally fell back in love with it, it is the perfect night time lip balm, thick and creamy, it healed my lips like nothing else and it definitely is going to be a staple in my night tome routine.

Sally Hansen Mega Shine - I have been on the search for a good base and top coat for the past few month but I haven't really found anything that I really like till now. Sally Hansen Mega Shine can be applied to nails whilst they are wet or dry and leaves them with such a, well...'Mega Shine'. It is so shiny and my polish stays on for much longer before chipping. As you can see from the packaging mine is very well loved :)

What are your March favourites?

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser

Hey Lovelies, How are you all doing?
Like most beauty bloggers I am a HUGE fan of the Liz Earle cleanse and polish and have been using it for a couple of years but a few months ago I decided that I just couldn't afford to buy it anymore so this began my hunt for a cheaper alternative.

The first thing I tried was the Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser, I really liked this, it was not as good as the Liz Earle, the ingredients were not as natural and it didn't remove makeup as well especially mascara but it still did a decent job if I used it only as a cleanser and used something else to remove my makeup. It did brake me out at first but after about a week my skin balanced out. The muslin cloth that came with it was awful but that didn't bother me as you can get a bunch for dead cheap anyway. I did feel like it was a little heavier on the skin than the Liz Earle but it does smell gorgeous and left my skin feeling clean and soft. There is not a huge difference in price Liz Earle is £12.75 and Soap and Glory is £10.00 but it is usually on offer for 3 for 2. I really enjoyed using it but, it was not the cheap alternative that I was looking for.

Then whilst browsing Superdrug a while ago I saw that they had brought out 2 different hot cloth cleansers one was a Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser for £5.99 for 200ml and one of was their Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth cleanser which was £5.99 for 150ml and was on offer for 2.99 for 150ml. Yes 2.99! When I saw it I couldn't resist I mean even if it wasn't any good you cant really complain too much for the price. So I just had to pick it up.

What it says
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser is formulated with a unique energising complex and infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone.
Enriched with nourishing Cocoa Butter, this rich and creamy formulation melts into the skin and cleanses away make-up and impurities, whilst also providing gentle exfoliation, leaving skin feeling renewed, soft and ultra clean.

Eventhough I have had it for months I have only just finished my soap and glory and was determined that I was not to use the Superdrug one until I have used it all up so I have only been using it for a week so I cannot do a full review yet but I will do when I have been using it for a while. It hasn't broke me out, which is a good sign. It definitively smells more of a chemically compared to Liz Earle. The cleanser is a thick white cream, it is easy to massage and sink into the skin but the downside is that it is very thick and oily so I need to use a toner afterwards as I feel like there is residue still on my skin but for £2.99 or even £5.99 I don't mind using a toner. It comes with a muslin cloth which is better than the Soap and Glory one but not as good quality as the Liz Earle but like I said before it is not a big deal as you can pick up a pack for cheap.
I have not tried it to remove my makeup as I use something different for that (I know I am a bad blogger and should have tried it out)
I will do a proper in depth review on it when  have used it for a while.
What I can tell so far I don't think it is as good as Liz Earle but I do have high hopes for it because my skin doesn't feel less soft or cleansed. My skin feels fresh and clean so can you ask for more than that. So as long as it does the job for £5.99 over £12.75 how can anyone resist?

Have you tried this or the vitamin E cleanser?

Lipcote review

If you have been reading my blog then you know that I am a lipstick girl but just wished they would just last long (yes, I am looking at you ysl rouge volupte). Well I am sure you know what lipcote is as its been around for over 50 years :) Well if you don’t it is a clear liquid that you brush on your lips after you have applied your lipstick to stop it fading.

When I got lipcote from a friend for Christmas I got all nostalgic because we use to use it when we were younger and first started getting in to makeup. We didn’t really have a clue about it and we just thought we were so cool and grown up. I couldn’t remember much about it or whether it worked just that it stung really bad when you put it on.

What lipcote says:
Give your lipstick staying power!
Stops lipstick marking, staining and feathering - the secret of kissable lips.
If your lipstick is more like lip slip, you really do need Lipcote.
With its original, long-lasting formula, it will keep lips looking luscious & kissable all day long.
      - Effective & Long Lasting.
      - Unique formula made with natural ingredients.

How to use: Apply lipstick and blot thoroughly, apply a thin and even layer of lipcote and allow to dry.

Since Christmas I have been trying it out and found I love it, it is now a staple in my make-up bag.  I find it makes my lipstick  last around 4/5 hours even with eating and drinking. The downside is that it doesn't work on all lipsticks. I find that it doesn't work with really creamy lipstick you just end up with a gooey mess and it just comes off after 10 mins, which sadly means it doesn't help with ysl issue :(

It doesn’t really sting like I remember just more of a tingle which only last a few seconds and after you use it a few times you stop feeling it. Try and avoid licking your lips as it does has a horrible taste and it smells strongly of alcohol.
It comes in a nail varnish like bottle so when you are applying it in public you can get some funny looks off people thinking you are putting nail varnish on your lips :/

Lipcote retails for £3.35 at Boots and Superdrug but you can get it for cheaper at bodycare.

Have you tried Lipcote? Do you like it?
Also, If you have any ideas for prizes i could get for my giveaway it would be appreciated

2true Nail Polish - Shade 10

I went shopping last week and in Superdrug I came across this colour from 2true. It is shade 10 from the glossywear nail polishes. I have only ever tried the 2true lip and cheek tints and I loved them so I decided to pick it up and give it ago. I haven't really heard much about them so I wasn't really expecting much but i was pleasantly surprised :)
It is a really unique colour and hard to describe and photograph so I will do my best haha!.
It's a sheer pinky purple base with green shimmer. It's a gorgeous duochrome and has lovely glossy finish.
It is extremely sheer so 4 coats is needed to make it opaque but it also can be worn sheer as a top coat, when layered over dark colours the green shimmer comes out much more (it especially looks amazing over blacks)

The bottle says that it last for 5 days, I would say it lasted about 3 days on me before it started chipping and it also dried quickly too :)
I would defiantly recommend picking it up as it is a bargain at 1.99 each or 3 for £4.99 at Superdrug.
I really want to try shade 46 now as I have heard it is a good dupe for Chanel Paradoxal

Have you tried any 2true polishes?

NOTD - BARRY M COBALT BLUE

NOTD
I have wanted Barry M cobalt blue for a while now but it is always out of stock. I finally got my hands on it today from Superdrug and as soon as I got home I had to apply it.
Cobalt blue (#291) is a creamy royal blue, I have on one coat with no base. It applies lovely with no streaks and is shiny enough that you don’t even need a top coat.

*Please excuse my horrible fingernails they are not the best at the moment .
Barry m are such good quality they have such a wide range of colours, they last long without chipping and so inexpensive at only £2.99.
