Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation Review

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to do a review of the foundation I am loving at the moment Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I brought it back in the summer and have been using it since.
I will start by saying what type of skin I have which is oily-combination. I use to have bad acne but at the moment my skin is clearing up. I have some acne scars and also big pores around my nose and redness on my cheeks. I have pale skin and I have always gone for matte full coverage foundations so because of this i have found it hard to get a foundation that is pale and matte enough but not make me look dead. I use to wear Estee Lauder double wear but I wanted to take advantage of my skin being clearer and use a lighter foundation.

Chanel says: A new-generation texture. An unprecedented sensory experience. A unique makeup result. Rapid and easy application. Apply your makeup without thinking about it. Its soft and evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture is a real surprise: although exceptionally delicate and light, it offers an incomparable “second-skin”perfecting result. The complexion appears amazingly even, fresh and energised. The skin glows with seemingly nude beauty. As if lit from within. Bathed in light…

I am the lightest shade, b10 (beige-pastel). It is a water based foundation which has light to medium coverage. It doesn’t cover everything for me and I do have to use a bit of concealer to cover a few scars here and there so if you have really bad acne or scaring or I would get a fuller coverage foundation.

It has a natural finish, not to glowy and not to matte. The foundation feels light and so soft on the skin and blends in easily and smoothly. It doesn’t need setting powder but i do use one sometimes and it doesn't end up looking cakey. It last for about 8 hours on me.

*Left hand has no foundation on and right hand does.

Even though the foundation has spf 15 I find that it doesn’t affect photos to much. I personally like the packaging and the fact that it is not In a glass bottle because you don’t have to worry about smashing it and wasting all the product (yep,I have done this before). It cost £31 but a little bit goes a long way so in my opinion it is totally worth it.

Have u tried foundation this foundation, what do you think?

  1. I have been trying to decide whether or not to purchase this foundation for a while now - pretty much just because of the price - I have pretty pale skin as well, but it's also pretty dry. This review really helped me in my decision.

    Love your blog btw -
maybe we can follow each other!?
