Trend Alert - Monochrome
One of the spring 2013 trends that I am really excited about is the black and white monochrome.
Go back to basics, it is as simple as black and white, banish them usual bright neon colours and whether it be colour blocking or with shapes stripes or patterns go classic, clean and chic this spring and summer.
This is a trend that could be easily worked in to anyone's personal style and is flattering for all shapes and sizes.
Here are some of my favourite pieces that I hope will find themselves in to my wardrobe :)

January Favourites
I cannot believe that it is February already I can guess this year is going to go by so quickly like last year. Hard to believe that I set up this blog a year ago.
Anyway as it is a new month it means it is time for my monthly favourites so here we go I wont babble on and I will get straight in to it...
Lush Big Shampoo is a shampoo full of salt, It is not to be used everyday, I have been using it around once a week. Surprisingly it lathers up alot and it leaves my hair feeling really clean. I definitely need to use a good conditioner afterwards as it is really drying. It gives amazing volume and smells amazing which lingers in my hair all day.
Maybelline Dream Touch Blush No.2 Peach is a gorgeous peach colour with very subtle shimmer. A little bit goes along way with it and it blends easily. With it being a cream product it highlights the skin beautifully leaving and dewy luminous colour. It looks lovely and natural on its own or just as well as a base for other powder blush. It doesn't melt off easily like most cream blush do on my oily skin either.
What were your monthly favourites?

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser
Hey Lovelies, How are you all doing?
Like most beauty bloggers I am a HUGE fan of the Liz Earle cleanse and polish and have been using it for a couple of years but a few months ago I decided that I just couldn't afford to buy it anymore so this began my hunt for a cheaper alternative.
The first thing I tried was the Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser, I really liked this, it was not as good as the Liz Earle, the ingredients were not as natural and it didn't remove makeup as well especially mascara but it still did a decent job if I used it only as a cleanser and used something else to remove my makeup. It did brake me out at first but after about a week my skin balanced out. The muslin cloth that came with it was awful but that didn't bother me as you can get a bunch for dead cheap anyway. I did feel like it was a little heavier on the skin than the Liz Earle but it does smell gorgeous and left my skin feeling clean and soft. There is not a huge difference in price Liz Earle is £12.75 and Soap and Glory is £10.00 but it is usually on offer for 3 for 2. I really enjoyed using it but, it was not the cheap alternative that I was looking for.
Then whilst browsing Superdrug a while ago I saw that they had brought out 2 different hot cloth cleansers one was a Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser for £5.99 for 200ml and one of was their Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth cleanser which was £5.99 for 150ml and was on offer for 2.99 for 150ml. Yes 2.99! When I saw it I couldn't resist I mean even if it wasn't any good you cant really complain too much for the price. So I just had to pick it up.
What it says
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser is formulated with a unique energising complex and infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone.
Enriched with nourishing Cocoa Butter, this rich and creamy formulation melts into the skin and cleanses away make-up and impurities, whilst also providing gentle exfoliation, leaving skin feeling renewed, soft and ultra clean.
Eventhough I have had it for months I have only just finished my soap and glory and was determined that I was not to use the Superdrug one until I have used it all up so I have only been using it for a week so I cannot do a full review yet but I will do when I have been using it for a while. It hasn't broke me out, which is a good sign. It definitively smells more of a chemically compared to Liz Earle. The cleanser is a thick white cream, it is easy to massage and sink into the skin but the downside is that it is very thick and oily so I need to use a toner afterwards as I feel like there is residue still on my skin but for £2.99 or even £5.99 I don't mind using a toner. It comes with a muslin cloth which is better than the Soap and Glory one but not as good quality as the Liz Earle but like I said before it is not a big deal as you can pick up a pack for cheap.
I have not tried it to remove my makeup as I use something different for that (I know I am a bad blogger and should have tried it out)
I will do a proper in depth review on it when have used it for a while.
What I can tell so far I don't think it is as good as Liz Earle but I do have high hopes for it because my skin doesn't feel less soft or cleansed. My skin feels fresh and clean so can you ask for more than that. So as long as it does the job for £5.99 over £12.75 how can anyone resist?

A - Z Of Beauty
Hey Lovelies,
I have seen the A-Z of beauty tag doing the rounds so I thought it would be a fun tag to do. All you have to do is name a brand for each letter of the alphabet and then recommend something from that brand.

Mallzee - Making Shopping Social!
Hey Lovelies,
I can not believe it has been over since 2 weeks since my last blog post, I havent had any internet connection and now feel so out of the loop. I know that it is not that long but it seems ages, why is it a week without internet can feel like a month (or is that just me?)
I often wounder how I use to get on when I was younger and had no internet, hmm what did my 13 year old self do?
Anyway enough rambling on,
I was contacted by a new company called Mallzee about an exclusive pre-launch invite to their website and as I thought it was so good I had to do a blog post on it.

What Mallzee says
'Mallzee is like going to the perfect mall, hanging out with friends, having a personal shopper and getting the best deals on everything'
"Mallzee is all about creating a new experience for shopping online. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores. Our fancy software then finds products matching their personal style and showcases them in their Mallzee! There are a number of aspects that make Mallzee social from the integration of Facebook chat to creating polls and browsing friends online wardrobes. An added bonus to inviting friends to your mallzee is that as the ‘owner’ you earn money every time anyone buys from your Mallzee, including you! (That's right you get paid when you shop?)"
Now first things first getting paid to shop! Now we are talking that is right up my street and I am sure that excites a lot of you too. They already have over 200 brands signed up including Urban Outfitters and New Look.
I love the fact that I wont have to look around loads of different online shops to find an outfit it will all be in one place - Perfect :)
The thing that I am probably looking forward to the most is the fact that you can make polls if you can't decide between items and see what people think because I can never make decisions and I am that annoying friend that rings everyone up saying help I can't decide between the black or white, so this is just what I need.
Mallzee will be going live later this year and I am so excited, I can not wait.
I really recommend signing up and for an added bonus if you share it on Facebook you will be entered in to a prize draw where you could win £100 ($155) worth of shopping vouchers! Happy days :)

NOTD: Topshop - Mermaid
Alright girlies,
For my post today I have a nail polish that I wore last week(I know bad blogging) it is Topshop Nail Polish in Mermaid(£6.00). When you look at the bottle it looks like it is a duochrome but it is not, it is a gorgeous colour though. It's a multi toned metallic silver blue with green undertones with fine gold shimmer. The name is actually perfect as it looks like a mermaids tail :)
The formulation is thin so a few coats are needed. I have on 3 coats, with no top or bottom coat. It lasted on my nails for 5 days before it started chipping. I was so amazed as usually even with a top coat I am lucky if my polish lasts for a whole day.
The one bad things is as with most metallic polishes you can see brush marks so you do have to be careful.
I definitely recommend this colour and really want to try more Topshop polishes.
Have you tried any Topshop polishes? What is your favourite colours?
